I am just in the process of ordering a new pickup. 34 week wait (March) quoted for a Ford Ranger, similar for a Hilux and a Navara looking at December delivery.
New Pottinger Tedder ordered early Jan for April delivery turned up 27th May, two days before first cut

Are dealers not ahead of the game and ordering large quantities of grassland machinery the year before? There’s really no excuse for waiting 7 months and longer for a piece of kit these days. We got a new mower for this year, dealer had 2 left from the 2020 models sitting in the yard.

Our local dealer put a order in for 80 bits kit last November email January from manufacture can only do 40 for you this year
I feel for the dealers a bit because if they’ve not got it they can’t sell it

So reading through this made me think of the manufacturers changing dealership threads running a while back.
Seemed at the time manufacturer wanted large area multi outlet dealerships allegedly turning over 100 million a year. Seems as though they are having the rug pulled from under their feet. How can those refurbished outlets survive if the manufacturer wont/cant supply the goods for sale?

Corona made the sales uncertain, so not a lot of dealer orders went out last year. Now farmers are investing on new machinery, but the dealer is selling "can't have it" because everyone else did the same and now the orders are clogging up. Local manufacturers (Elho, Multiva, Agronic etc.) Are running 24/7 but there's still shortage on mowers and harrows even here in Finland and they should meet the demands of foreign dealers also.

Elho Scorpion rock picker has a wait time of 1 year!
