Free movement of people between uk and oz could see a large exodus of farmers and money down under.
They will be begging them to return once they are all gnawing on wildflowers and treebark
Free movement of people between NZ and UK is a pipe dream of the CANZUK brigade wanting to live in the past "glorious" days of Empire, never going to happen!

Oh yes we forgot NZ farmers were only allowed to mass poison
certain TB spreading animals.
I'm now off to start up my light aircraft for some 1080
drops I hope nobody minds.:banghead:

One of things I wanted to get away from was the British obsession with rules and regulations, with its army of busybodies always interfering in your life and just get on with farming.

Which rules and regs are holding you back ?
Not a question of holding anyone back, it’s a question of your annual production costs in comparison to competitors overseas, for instance TB testing & standstills, hedge maintenance, RT rules & regs if we are going to compete with the rest of the world it needs to be on an equal production cost basis. Saying the customer will pay more for UK produced food is bull sh!t !

I dare say the ones moaning the most are the ones being propped up by the public purse. Those that see opportunity or nothing to fear will be the ones that survive AND prosper.
All anyone needs is a level playing field, you wouldn’t expect one eyed Aussie cricketers to compete with two eyed Brits, of course the Aussies still might win but that’s not the point!

Do you lot think that we can compete with Asian wages and conditions in ag as well? Did the world end? No. Do we export to Asian countries? Yes.

Some of you are running scared.... not all. But some.

No ones running scared as it's obvious you cant compete
on many things including animal welfare as post #812 demonstrates.
That doesn't mean we have to put up with double standards by our
elected government though.

Ok ok. So you want same standards, same rules. Fine. YOU start paying all Australian farmers a subsidy based on land owned then. Your idea. YOU pay it.
