Keeping North is a must @cull cows to do what your doing. A lot of men up here won’t touch high risk area cattle due to tracings etc. Had a guy quizzing me about some stores last week, don’t want them Southern things he said cos of TB, he’s in the middle of a radial testing zone himself!
I see reading the guff we had lately about moving into 6mth tbt that trace tests will now stop, it also says that we won't be forced to test earlier if a neighbour goes down.

Problem now is Arla farmers are now having to sell their grass rat calves as they cannot have the knackerman/local Kebab meat supplier sort the problem out once a week!

I saw about 30 grass rat angus 4/6 month old stirks sold the other day....

Well reared but they are what they are!.... made from £20 to £90 a bunch... and even at that money it would make you depressed having to look at them/ feed/ bed them up every day for a 6 month winter!
Would they not be worth hanging up for the freezer at a much younger age before they cost too much?

I've been to Bentham with pickup and trailer. From here before rush hour it's a good 2.5 hours.
I've also been to Devon on holiday and down the M5 sat at a good 80-90 it was nearly 4 hours.
So how long is it taking that wagon from Devon to get up there? 😲
As @livestock 1 says, just because Tony is from Devon. Doesn’t mean the sheep come from there. A mate of mine does a lot of his shepherding in the midlands.
