A special guard too which is well worth having IMO. Works very well chopping big stuff down when used as a stop, twigs and branches will break the standard twine guard in short order.
 
We've had this idea for a while, wanted a thistle slasher that would go on the quad that you could tow whilst checking the sheep.

Suzuki LJ rear axle, diff welded
SJ wheels and tyres
33" blade off a lawnmower
Bits of scrap welded together, gate hinges, used towhitch, bit of hayturner linkage.

Works well, also throws sheep sh!t over a surprisingly large distance.
