Is the wheat droughting off in the second pic?
It was early morning when the sun was rising creating shadow. Most of my farm is drought prone. I’ve only had about 8 or 9mm rain in the last week so more will be needed to finish the crops potential as the recent dry May has depleted reserves.

As predicted, rain arrived later this afternoon. Good job I only cut one field then, just had time to get the field in good old-fashioned night rows.

Gate looks very smart! I'm surprised how compact the foundations are. When we put ours in it seemed to be longer in proportion than that.

The end stop looks rather high to me.

It's all within 6mm tolerance according to the laser level the ground does suddenly drop away out in the field so makes it look high.

I was meaning the rear one in the first photo.

But your comment made me look back at all the photos again…..and then I noticed the gate and ground aren’t parallel. 😲 Cunning disguise that…nobody will ever guess behind that gate lies the realm of @Robert K

Will have various piles around the area got to gather them all up yet ..... I hate that job ! Especially dragging through Hereford. . OH baled up a patch last night 136 bales ......same field last yr 44 bales !

Do the birds not attack them, I can’t leave mine out a night without the rooks and crows playing havoc with them, all mine have to be baled wrapped and stacked in the same day.
