So massif turnips were unavailable so I planted 42% green globe 42% kale 16% sweeds at1.5 kg acre result is not much kale or sweedes turnips far to thick thinking off running quad bike through to thin them out will it work

I don't think that's a very high rate. 42% of 1.5 is only 0.63kg/acre. We drilled a mix of 64% Green Globe/ 34% Gorilla Forage Rape this year at 4.2kg/ha / 1.70kg/acre.

These days you have to spend a bit more to feed the flea beetle! It could be perfect rate and you should be happy that your plan worked - you had the foresight to plant a companion/sacrifice crop to achieve a perfect plant population - well don you!!!

We find Green Globe turnips are more immune to FB attack. Thinning will give you more bulb. Not sure an ATV will make enough of a difference. What about cultivator/ hoe/ drill etc?

How much fert have you/ will you apply?

You either got small acres or big kgs then [emoji1787]
Don't quite add up ok 1.5 is a good rate but not massive and if only the Globe came then that's half that
