I don’t think he exists no man I know who made that sort of money out of farming would put himself in that positionAdministrators seem to be doing well out of it.
Don’t see any sign of @Bossfarmer ’s rumour of a farmer owed £6m on the list.
Fertiliser prices won’t be coming down any time soon.

Inglis crash leaves creditor trail
Borders and Lothians farming businesses rank high among the unsecuredcreditors owed more than £6 million following the collapse of grainmerchants Alexander Inglis and Son.www.scotsman.com
Reading the report one company has a court order to remove 2k tons of osr from a store but I reckon they have managed to prove its all theirs and not been stored with other owners. (that's if I've read it correctly).Surely if you had your grain in storage it is still yours. If its not there anymore it amounts to theft and the Police should be involved?
Was just wondering the same, I know our local merchant make a big thing about having insurance if a customer goes bust, but what if they do themselves?Would bad debt insurance pay out in some of these instances or if corn you had there in storage was not there when you wanted to sell it could you claim for theft from your insurance policy?
