Contrary to wat I said robot is right. I dated a scientist many moons ago for 8 years and and she was told that the amount of infectious diseases is multiplying at am alarming rate because of drug resistance and with travel theses diseases can get out of their normal environments which has somewhat helped contain then in the past.

Why whats going to happen in winter?

In winter, more activity will be indoors. More chances for the virus to spread, especially when the ventilation system isn't good enough. More chances for the virus to mutate.

I know that more people will have been vaccinated, but it's still too early to say that this variety of coronavurus will have diminished in strength by then.

if I worked in a supermarket I would have the app, as I would be bound to get pinged and have a few days off (on full pay), if however it was not paid, I would not have the app, that is why farmers aren't "pinged" as they would have to pay for their time themselves!
From what I understand of the situation, very few supermarket workers get pinged because of "at work" contact because it is rare for them to be close enough to any one customer for long enough to trigger the system, however I do know of several retail workers who have been pinged... they're the sort to have quite active social lives & we're quick off the mark at every stage of the rules easing.

Some will be loving it. 10 days off work sitting in the sun and getting paid.

True. It’s all just a bit non sensical. NHS workers, police etc all told not to get the ap as it would bugger things up them having to go off. Some folk have the ap, some don’t, you can get pinged while outside wearing a mask etc. You have to get a jab and a jab passport to do stuff to save us all from
Covid, but you can still get it and pass it on. So you can fly over seas with a couple of
Jabs, pick up Covid over seas, bring it back and spread it around ok. But you can’t go if you haven’t got a jab, because it might be harmful to you. None of it is consistent and none of it makes sense, and there for its hard to take any of it seriously.

So with the jab - folk can get it and spread it, most will get light symptoms, some worse and may need hospital and a few it will still kill. Sounds just like life without the vaccine.

Just seems all very daft.

My daughter and her boyfriend started new part time jobs recently at supermarkets, both went to a party where someone tested positive a day after. They both have tested negative but still had to isolate (by that, I mean not going to their new jobs and lazing about on the sofa all
Day) it’s ridiculous!

There was some talk from the "experts" here a while ago suggesting that even if 95% of the population were vaccinated the Delta strain would still spread. That's with Pfizer only which seems better than AstraZeneca at stopping spread (although they are both good at keeping you out of hospital) No way any country will get that high. So with a lot of the UK vaccinated and a lot who have had the virus, isn't it better to let the rest be exposed to it now, in summer?
Perhaps by winter it will be struggling to spread because almost everyone will have antibodies.
Combine that with booster shots, is there any other way?

The whole thing has been perpetrated by men who won’t tell us how many children they’ve got and who will separate the dying from their loved ones whilst having an affair with their secretary.

Now those same scumbags want to impose a medical apartheid via vaccine passports.

This is an absolute scam, inflicted on us by people who’s livelihoods are unaffected and who just break their own rules as it suits them.

Delete the app, stop watching the BBC propaganda and get on with life!
