Where is the economic threshold where it becomes necessary to be concerned with them on your farm?Things are going well. Organic matter levels around the farm are now above 10% and improving due to spreading our composted Seperated dung and good use of our “pokey” dirty water. We have managed to reduce our nitrogen usage too.
however docks under this system are becoming a real problem and only to getting worse as we spread more compost.
would love to hear about people’s successful control programs.
thanks in advance.
It's probably higher than your pride/vanity of keeping clean pasture!Where is the economic threshold where it becomes necessary to be concerned with them on your farm?
I suspect that’s true for most unwanted species. It can be a difficult number to nail down though. It's probably higher than your pride/vanity of keeping clean pasture!
Nah stick with your grazing ratsI will NOT be getting white lice. Thank you for the suggestion though.
Have you got rid of them?I dread to think of what i’ve spent spraying docks over the years [emoji33]

Are dock seeds still viable in silage? I didn’t think they were! Uh oh.
Viable? It's like steroids for docks especially if it's been through a cow!
Our neighbor always spraying for docks .The fields are brown with them now !No [emoji23]
If you notice on the chemical containers, they say ‘controls’ docks rather than ‘kill’!
I have used Forefront this time on the worst fields, cleaned them up really well. See if they come back next year
Haven't seen one for over 20 years.No [emoji23]
