Longtown started well, first 1/3 - 1/2 I'd reckon were just £2-£4 down on last week... but then it all slipped away

I was about 3/4 through. Drawn roughly the same as last week 30-35kgs, fleshy but not fat. But I'll be honest - last week's lambs looked better IMO.

Why not so much interest now, you would think people might be back in hope of a bargain cos the fat has dropped 🤷‍♂️

On the way down the road I hoped for £80... ringside I thought maybe £84... in the alley waiting my turn I hoped £80...

Won't pretend I'm not disappointed, because I am!

But. I've sold 183 lambs so far - 100 store and 83 fat and I've averaged in my pocket £84.

Sorry guth, after your rant, but I'm making money at that. Don't want trade to drop any farther, though!

If you say they are 32.5kg then that’s 225pkg so about what they are worth.

Yes they just got worse as the sale went on, not the buyers there for the number of lambs. My mules were £69 threw 12 over the weights this morning and they would av 34/5kg no bother So very disappointed after all the hype. It’s a lot better selling them at home knowing exactly what they are when they go up the ramp.

Again, mules only averaged 211 at Skipton yesterday so if your where 33kg buy the time the got sold that £69.
