Up and down, with a lot fewer of all breeds there, probably as a result of last year’s disaster of an early sale.

I heard Texels were struggling, and crossbreed even more so, for all but the best, but not many ‘good’ ones there of either tbh.

Charollais were variable, the best yearlings being generally £7-900, some poorer ones not making the £300 upset. A lot of the lambs went unsold I think, unless they were fancied by breeders.

Champion (Foulrice shearling) made 1600gns, res champ (lamb) made 1000gns. I bought a shearling at 1200, and I saw another yearling at 1100.
thanks for report , was that a Foulrice shearling ? I saw Deborahs on FB they looked tidy rams , good money for those yearlings though , if the lambs wernt fancied probally means fairly commercial trade , which is a good thing , , Thought the texels would sell well though dont suppose they are working properly just yet .

I was also told today but no idea if correct or not that the shortage of lorry drivers is now affecting the long hauls of meat and that is partly why the price of lambs have dropped the last few days as the company's have orders for the lamb meat but just cant get some of it to the end destination.

It was, the high muscle one. Bought to do a specific job.👍

Not many Texels there tbh, and nothing particularly outstanding that I saw.
