Is that the fella who went to calve a cow and ended up pinned down by the cow, managed to crawl under the gate - makes you think!

Showed the lads that work here as a reminder, we have quiet cows but just reminds you should never trust them and how quickly it can go wrong. Glad the guy walked away he was very lucky.

Have very quiet cows but .....
5 weeks ago moved cattle from hill pasture down through farm buildings and across causeway on flood plain to turn up a track to new field. Me in front daughter at rear. As soon as cows clocked where they were going they surged forward and I got trapped between two fat ones and carried about 15 yards. Bumped from behind by another cow which made me hit the tarmac ripping my elbows and bashing my hip. Also got trodden on just above knee. Got to move them back tomorrow and will have a bigger bit of blue pipe (have never hit cows) and pay more attention to what's behind me. Complacency kills and I was lucky.
Not the cows fault, entirely mine for not keeping them back and going slow.
Hip still kills but getting better.
