.all osr sown , tue ploughed and worked traditionally ,wed 1/2 next field traditional thur other 1/2 a compromise scratch ,time will tell though despite my misgivings all gone in to good tilth and just been round and after the rain all are chitting but will have to go some to beat this years yields ,fert on next couple of days . cant find flea beetle holes behind combine but there certainly was some in the seed as harvested

going to start next week but going to blank off every other coulter so row spacings will be 13 inches to help branching out. anyone tried that ?
I used to. Slight change of policy now, gone conventional variety and full rate, going to accept a yield penalty for better weed control, hopefully.

Drilled, pressed and rolled ahead of the forecast deluge....

....got 2mm. Pelleted today. Now just cross fingers.

After dark when the beetle are active in the crop. I’ve no idea if it works or not. I did mix it with Hallmark and the crop still got hammered by larvae in the stems.

Why do you think the campus did so well? Just shear plant numbers? I was happy with mine. Possibly not quite as good as the Extar but a poorer field and later flowering which on a year like last was a bonus.
