Sounds exactly like what we had...... I've never really struggled mentally until then..... We lost 70-80 in 2 weeks beginning of September bloody good lambs to.... I'll never forget it, I really struggled to get out of bed in the second week, I just couldn't face it....... I now have the greatest of sympathy with people who say they struggle with nerves after I had a taste of it & don't mind admitting it..........We lost in a space of 10 days lost over 50 untill injection started to work 3 years ago didn't feel like going out to check on them much but now inject for it in May

Nothing worse, especially when every penny is needed, an they’re dropping dead in front of you!! Had it a few years back with barbers pole worm/ wormer resistance, bought in sheep dropping like flies, cost a thousand or two to get the feckers right!! I use to dread going in the field,

I had stores at Carlisle yesterday they were more than I expected only had a couple in £1385/£1135 the week before they had been back a bit. Yesterday was a show and sale so best gear there from most folks ( I didn’t know it was on when I entered mine)Cattle less money in Thirsk today, some cattle by quite a bit
Seems like there’s been some caution appeared from the buyers
I wasn’t there but some of the poorer end looked buyable looking on the stream as I was on mowing but maybe they were misplaced on the day

Just had my ticket for the last load of homebred limo bulls I sent in. £1437-£1699, 13-15months old. Lightest 348kg, heaviest 441kg. That’ll do nicely

When they sent me a lovely letter saying that any savings we had would be worth a whole .25%… I emptied all our savings into livestock. The Mrs went absolutely ballistic with me. Proper threw her dummy out the pram. She has admitted that stock has done substantially better than those prats in fancy suits could do!I’m sure they have him on speed dial for advice. He’s getting a lot better returns than they can.

If inflation is running at 2.5%+ per quarter and that’s not even proper inflation that’s the way the government calculate it. Based on an average family’s needs. Add that up and then look at the .25% they are offering you, actually that’s loosing money fast.

I think it’s between 5-10% atm true figure.
consumables have got cheaper and cheaper over last 20 years but I think the tide is turning. Stuff is going up fast

Yes 2.5 per quarter will leave you near 10 pa (not every quarter is as high as 2.5)
I would dare say if you added up the inflation on our businesses we would probably get to more than 10% pa lately feed fert machinery ect
