On my own mostly .
Had a bit of help yesterday off a young lad and I get contractors in if I need to . OH does a bit as well but I start early and finish late !
how old are you ? im now in my mid sixties and i want to start later and finish earlier, but it just dosnt happen and thats with 2 good sons!

i find it quite sad really that the only job on the arable side i now enjoy is combining, i luv it! no 1 son luvs all of it , but he,s fed up of hedgcutting , no 2 son hates it but he gets the job done.

My sons went off and earn money i could only dream of ...... I don't blame them
They won't be sat in a tractor alongside a combine trying to finish a patch of spring barley tonight !!

no 2 son works off farm , plant mechanic, hates it . he would rather be here on less money cant really afford him but it would help me wind down , his forsight in servicing and stitch in time saves 9 would be invaluable , his capabilities never seem to amaze me. the trouble is he would want to spend 4 or 5 days a week in cattle mkts!
