Heatwave brings wind turbines to standstill and causes gas plants to struggle.
This was last year it could be the same this year

HOW VERY DARE YOU !!!!Greta will be pleased
Wellington would be ideal for wind turbines surely?Bro , just like down the road here in NZ, Auckland is dependent on thermal coal powered generation for electricity generation stability , mate.
Just don't tell or remind the idiots in Wellington.
Greta will be pleased
This winter could be interesting - gas reserves are said to be low, prices soaring and the Russians quite prepared to manipulate supplies.
Get the generator serviced - high pressure this winter may well bring power cuts as the wind turbines stop turning.
It’s embarrassing to think this country thinks it’s news worthy.
It’s kind of what’s needed though, a dose of reality.Good point that.
Be a sight more embarrassing in mid January when the lights go out though....
Brexiteers will not like that! You might think those in charge might think it’s a bit concerning that even now at 9.30 am in the UK we are importing more electric from France than is being produced by all our solar & as for wind!
Reckon you'd get more spin from the hot air generated on 9th floor than on top of the hill!!!Wellington would be ideal for wind turbines surely?
Ahhh, we'll be OK by 11am.... My panels will be kicked in by then, all 3.34 kW according to the monitor!!You might think those in charge might think it’s a bit concerning that even now at 9.30 am in the UK we are importing more electric from France than is being produced by all our solar & as for wind!
Look out when those cloudy dark endless days arrive, whilst solar panels are a cash cow they don’t work that well at night.Ahhh, we'll be OK by 11am.... My panels will be kicked in by then, all 3.34 kW according to the monitor!!
I must get and cut the hedge back....
