We purchased our own in 2013 ,make better use of slurry, cause every contractor we had here tried to spread at 50 cube as thick as possible cause they didn't want to move pipes 🙈

We’ve found it’s just nice if I want to do a quick 10/20 acres then I can get on and do it when I want if the weather forecast is right, like I say this year it’s been brilliant

Calving's done, grass is growing, weathers ok, they'll be cranking it out now.
Getting containers and boats seem to be the hard bit, although Fonterra seem to be managing better than most.

The cost of being on every day collection hurts. Need to push on with the new tank shed. A good bit of seasonality in there as we have upped numbers a bit.
Please don't take this the wrong way......thats some money for a sub standard liter of milk.
Shows Arlas power. Pulled a blinder when you got thar contract

Improving constituents has been a no brainier here on the Arla contract. It’s just a slow burner as even if you use the right bulls it’s years before they start milking.

Takes years to come through properly. Ah well hopefully get there one day.
Up to 4.7 and 3.7 now, not wanting a herd of 450kg jerseys so not sure how much further I’ll get, the NZ Friesian is fantastic on the British friesians though, breeding some real efficient cows. Lowering the mastitis rate has been an unforeseen bonus to.
