I am pricking a blend today 10 10 30 10s £392 to £405 September delivery plus £10 for October. payment 28 days

Last year paid £256 with 15 phosphate in that blend, which is £40 dearer than above. Some price hike in 12 months.

Going to be a supply issue soon. They aren't shifting any at current prices so sheds at ports sitting full. They can't book other ships to come in with cargoes because they have nowhere to put it.

Its going to become a case of who blinks first!

I pointed out if they dropped price £50/t the sheds would soon empty. Don't know about others but I would normally have 4 loads of N in store at this point. Currently sheds empty.

They pretty much know they will shift what is in store even at current prices. The only way that wouldn't happen is if farmers actually decided not to plant large areas of crops because of the price of N and other inputs relative to grain prices.

If there isn't significant amounts of N on farms by end of Feb logistics will be a massive bottle neck. I do think this could get pretty ugly.

Yet my ‘August delivery’ load of AN is still a way off as supposedly the supply isn’t there. :scratchhead:
