Could have been worse, corben could have been incharge. Then we would have been stuck with no sub, still In Europe and lambs only £70/80. And even high taxes to pay for all the folk sitting doing feck all!

Other than the TB job i am not sure the farming industry would have been in a worse situation if Labour were now in charge! ( i hate to say )

There is an almight car crash coming down the road ref AG subs/ livestock transport rules etc let alone things like this carbon zero rubbish which all are down to Boris and princess nut nuts!

Crikey!!

I had an argument the other week with a lad in market who said that because his lambs where 44kg they must be finished, they where bloody O1's but he was having none of it and was very disappointed when they made £96 because they should have been well over £100!
Think I could buy a few out the fat now and run them back through the stores

What did he say when you suggested putting a hand on their back before he brought them in? Too much like hard work??

Feck me know!!!!!! Poisonous little barsteward she is!!!!! No offence to any Scottish people, I love the place, but if I had the power I would put her on a little derelict piece of Scotland, dig a trench around it, fill it with explosive an dynamite it off our island so she could have her own feckin independence!!!!! Feck me, she just needs to get lay’d an forget about it surely!!

I’d rather walk up the race an touch every lamb than weigh it but I haven’t got a fancy weigh crate, unless you feel them you don’t know what your sending, they good be sixty kilo an still not be fit!! Maybe it’s the new kids on the block that weren’t taught the old fashioned way? 🤷‍♂️ Or it could be the old stuck in there way crowd that think they know best?🤷‍♂️ I put that in for the sake of equality, I bet it’s the young’uns really with there fancy weigh cell thingy majigers 😂

This is true. I once had a Southdown x Easycare wether. You would hardly believe it but come April he was 60kg and still nothing like finished. Came to decent money in the stores at Hexham but I think he would have needed a hopper to himself to get fat. @livestock 1 would have been the man for him!

Well I’ve seen cull cows off the clock all week gisburn today absolute flying trade , should be a lot more cows in there tbh!!!! Dairy cows a flyer and the few sheep in a good trade ans they had nearly 8000 sheep in there last Saturday and I heard were dearer than the other local markets ans sheep from all over and men from all over to buy them obviously JP is doing a good job there like him or loathe his character !! Jack is also a decent lad there and the farmers seem to take to them ! Beef and bulls absolute flyer too and from what I hear Selby thirsk the same ! Market Drayton cows and clean mental ! So that’s my sort of weekly round up I ask this question can the bubble burst is there going to be a ‘backend ‘ ???!!!! But it’s long overdue our overheads can’t be high and prices low !!!! Live or dead your having a good trade tbh but it’s nice to see some marts having a buzz back about them again!!!! Without them through covid we would all be experiencing different prices that’s imo !
