Spraying wheat. Kenyan varieties are very tall probably flattering to decieve. Then changing sprinklers on a pivot.View attachment 985635View attachment 985636View attachment 985637View attachment 985638
the hse might have something to say about the men in the box this is not my personal view I was thinking back to a chap that was photographed from the road cutting asbestos sheets from a loader bucket and prosecuted for not using a proper cradle I thought the danger was with the dust, not the loader bucket

I sent the forklift with the box because it was better than the dodgy loader tractor the contractor was using it didn't have parallel lift and the arms were dropping. The box was tied on as well. Life is cheap here but if one of your workers is injured you are going to be in court for ever. Especially with my colour skin.

Came home to find some restorative justice in action.
2 weeks ago we had the cash box stolen from our honesty table. We got a new one and screwed it to the table. Yesterday it was broken into and the money taken just as my wife was coming home, she saw the lad cycling away. She chased him on the quad bike and caught him. She must have put the fear of god up the 13 year old, got the money back from him, his name and address and told him to come to the farm today after school.
To our surprise he turned up. We both had chats with him, his attitude much better than yesterday apparently. After an hours weeding he headed off. We’ve offered him paid work if he wants to come back and spend his time more usefully in the future. It will be interesting to see if he does.

Anyone I've been talking to says that about getting them off the floor at night! Also do not let anyone unnecessary into the house due to biosecurity. One man even said to put the egg store away from the main house so that the lorry driver didn't have to go into the house.
We have a contract with a local egg packer and the whole shed was specced by them so not sure about the auto flush.
Ballygarvey eggs?
