hope it dont rain to much ! are you aplayboy farmer or do you rely on it?

It's my sole source of income. Mrs teslacoils works though.

There's zero moisture at the moment. Most of this year's crop is second, or subsequent cereals and very few volunteers have grown yet.

I mean,I could get drilling, but I'd be spraying it off and starting again come November. Typically I don't start until it cold enough to use a single herbicide, and not worry about bydv.

Linseed planted a month ago and up and running.
About a third of the way through cereal. Because we are DDing, we can start 2 weeks before as not disturbing the soil doesn’t mineralise N, so slower to get going.
Ideal conditions after Tuesday’s rain.
Haven’t Pre-em’d yet as I knew rain was coming today, which will help close the slot and prevent washing the chems into the slot and around the seed, where it would damage it.
Guess what I’ll now be doing first thing tomorrow?

Did plough 80 acres which isn’t quite ready of DDing yet/needing the reset button pressing from damage caused in Autumn’19, which ploughed up like limps of coal. The rain has/is helped/helping to put it in a state where it will Combi well. Will start this on Tuesday. One of those situations where it will be perfect for about 5 minutes, before it gets too dry again!

Going to make a start here tomorrow depending on how much rain we get over night. Ex osr land is fairly dry but stubble with chopped straw has alot of moisture in it. I ploughed 50ha (long story, basically don’t let a land owner make you grow beans too often and end up with a seedy mess) and that stuff needs a serious rain, but Atleast we can go on there when it’s too wet for any DD’ing.
