is the pto protection on the mulcher working ok?Thanks when I get it opened up I'll try that any one else using a mulcher on the front have these problems. It's a McConnell 2800 magnum. Any advice would be great thanks . Dont want to revert to running it on the back . A lot easier to usurp front .
How did he weld it up ? Might be an option (last resort) the topper has a gearbox and belt driven so I presume the belts protect it along with overrun clutchMy collegue had a zuidberg pto box stop working while harvesting onions (haulmtopper on front). He welded the whole thing solid and continued, just took the pto off when on road...
is it only over run clutch? How did he weld it up ? Might be an option (last resort) the topper has a gearbox and belt driven so I presume the belts protect it along with overrun clutch

Heavy rushes mostly I presume there is a shear bolt . Do the belts provide some slippage?is it only over run clutch?
that wont protect the drive line much( only lets the mulcher run down when pto turned off)
what sort of stuff you cutting?
