Got some wettish ground to drill tomorrow, will the fan work well enough ie fast enough on 540 rpm, seed rate is 180kg/ha
I guess he has a lightweight tractor with only 540 RPM output? What implications does the ground conditions have on the fan? Unless the tractor is struggling for power and pulls down the pto speed considerably then it will be fine.
Ground has been worked twice with heavy disks, running at 1000 rpm slows the speed I can travel to 5 kph by running at 540 I should have more hpWhat implications does the ground conditions have on the fan? We managed in a 1000 rpm in the end, it was hard going into fresh ploughing, used every hp on a 165 hp tractor, the ground was on the wet side but went in well considering. You will find out if it blocks! Reckon it will be OK, our Lely accord seems to cope if tractor rpm drops quite low on heavy patches if on a small tractor.
