This business strategi Agco now are doing are what they calling "Route 66" (Massey in on channel and Fendt/Valtra in a other)
They first country they do it in was Sweden and I belive it was Germany and it start 2015/2016. And after that they shall do the same world wide, and if i understand it was happen in UK now.

So this that Agco gone sell MF i think not gone happen in a long time.

I read some one wrote Valtra sold more then MF in Germany and "Agco man" say it was fantastic. I can not think they are very happy with the sell of MF our Valtra in Germany. In 2020 MF be number 7 (4,9%) and Valtra 8 (4,6%) and this i registered tractor from 51hp and up.

We have run both MF and Valtra for the past 14 years.
The Valtra’s have cost much more in repairs than the MF’s in that time. Particularly so in the past 5-6 years.
Current one winched onto a lorry earlier this week and now in dealers workshop awaiting new hydraulic pump at 1500 hours.
7718 of same age and 2500 hours has only needed an o’ring in a spool valve.

Just my experience of running them of course. Just as you and speedster have your own.
I bet it'll only cost 25 pounds to repair though.
Sorry couldn't resist.

Actually not rubbish , he also said that in the German market valtra had overtaken Massey for the first time ever , he was delighted with that result , he said that they were having too many issues with Massey tractors giving trouble and the French won’t listen, he was blaming the French for the issues , Agco is a world wide brand but when one country won’t work for the good of the company then it will get the boot. And that’s what is happening . Agco want Fendt and Valtra and Massey can run off with themselves.
Do Valtra or Massey really matter in Germany?
I've spent quite a bit of time on farms in a fair amount of Germany on business in the past decade and I don't recall seeing a Massey or a Valtra on any of them.
I certainly don't recall seeing any tractors there that weren't Deutz, Claas or Fendt.

I do get the impression that Agco would not lament the offloading of Massey, not that that would necessarily be the worst thing for Massey.

He was just the European sales manager , we had a good discussion about the complete tractor market and what he told me is what is now happening on the ground. Basically he did not like the Massey tractor brand due to too many issues just like the issues that Speedstar had with his.
James.. what you have written just flabbergasts me....if what you say is correct?... and he is employed by AGCO... I suspect he will be shortly getting a DCM.. don't come Monday!... in more than 35 years in the industry I know no company will tolerate that sort of behaviour..particularly expressing personal views to someone who then repeats them in the public arena!

Been going round in trade for a while
Mf will be offloaded
All the dealer/show changes changes make it seem like it would be correct

James has rather a vivid imagination when it comes to tractors ...
Agco are a ruthless multinational and dont give a fig about where their tractors are built . If the thought for one minute that masseys problems were caused by the French then the plant would be closed pronto .
And arent Valtras been built on the same line now at the french plant ???
I suppose the french will be at fault too should the give problems.....

I’ve no vivid imagination , I’m only saying what I was told personally, not third party or hearsay. So go back to sleep.

Your correct on the pricing , I know a farmer who bought a new valtra t234 for the same money as a used Jd 6210r with 4000 hrs on it. Jd are pricing themselves out of the market.
You have written some rubbish in the past but this takes the biscuit!!!!,a 4000 hour tractor which will be at least 8 years old is more than a new valtra, I call that bull$hit

Actually it tells a different story to me. One of alot of confidence being placed in the John Deere machine to continue working reliably if true.

The way the post is worded, it does indeed sound very unrealistic. On a straight deal, I doubt a new valtra t234 could be bought for the same price as a 4000hr 6210r. There is no indication of how long ago this way, so I would not assume 8 year old.
however, if in fact the post is referencing that someone traded in their existing valtra for a new valtra t234, for the same price as what they were quoted to change their valtra for a 2 - 3 year old 6210r with 4000 hrs, then that is somewhat believable, as the jd dealer probably give a poor trade in price for the used valtra. The valtra dealer will probably have known the customer and tractor so may have allowed considerably more.

Big deal Farmers! John Deere are losing out on price mostly there way over Fendt these days
A friend has priced changing 3 tractors and says that JD have come in cheaper than Deutz and Claas.
He says they are dearer than Case, but not as much as he had expected.

Another friend who was a long-term JD man, but bought a Valtra 2 years ago was on the phone yesterday telling me how his Valtra has given a good share of transmission trouble, so he's probably going back to JD.

The issue I see with JD is that to get a tractor with plenty of weight and lift you're into a lot of money.
We run deutz and I older JD, our first Deutz was 185hp, it weighs 7.5Ton, has 9.2 Ton rear lift, 6 electric spools, 50kmph.
To have gotten that in a JD would have been another 25 grand plus.

Our 2nd Deutz is a 155hp 4 cylinder, which weighs 7t, has 7.5T lift, 6 spools, 50km.
The JD for the same money was over 1.5T lighter, had 2 ton less lift, was 40km, and had 3 spools.

I'd like to be all JD, but for the quotes we got there were other ways ro make better use of the money.
