Sun was shining today, the tractor didn't break, and some wheat seed disappeared from the hopper which usually (but not always) means it went into the ground, the drill only broke a little bit, the forklift started, and the seed trailer didn't snap in half.
All of these are really positive things in my book!

Possibly some of the issue is that so much of what we have to be positive about seems so mundane?
On the whole, plants and animals have a natural tendency to grow. Which is a good thing, though not necessarily that exciting.

Indeed, though taking joy in small things does improve the day I find.
Not having bought any fertiliser/agriculture being sold down the river/vegans on the ramparts/realistic prospect of thumping losses etc etc all get forgotten for a brief moment when the job in hand goes well.

Seeing one of my neighbours today pretending to be Mike Mitchell and running 2 drills in 1 30ac field made me laugh. So it was a good day

My positive thought for the day is that every dinghy of Middle Eastern illegal immigrants landing on the Kent coast brings yet more enthusiastic lamb eaters to our shores.
Iv got nothing at all to moan about. I had the biggest crop of lambs that I’ve ever had, with the least lamb mortality that I could ever have (1 dead out of 1500 after a week old)and they have almost all gone for record prices. I couldn’t be happier, just got one buying sale for ewe lambs on Wednesday then holiday for a week ready for the winter. Also got tonnes of beet and silage so feeling that I have done all I can to get through. No point worrying about things out of my control just got to keep going and doing the best I can.
Some enterprising farmer could set up a van selling lamb sandwiches on the beach, bound to be peckish after all that paddling

The government would have to buy them and then give them free , you know your not allowed to make sandwiches to sell unless your a caterer .
