Start to get the feeling we arent wanted.
Theyve become very complacent about food saying we'll grow trees instead, a food shortage might do a bit of good.Within 5 to 10 years at most it looks very likely there will be food shortages worldwide.
And starving people will bring any Gov down very fast including the likes of the one we currently have under Boris!
And that is before you take into account the elec shortages/blackouts that are certainly coming down the road when he outlaws cars that run on fuel and not elec!
Events dear boy events and they are coming at Boris very fast but all of his own making and which will be his downfall and a very quick U turn at the last min on things like banning petrol/ diesel cars/vans etc.
The CEO of Heinz has said in the last few days that food prices are going to rise very fast in the next 12 months or so due to poor worldwide harvests/ covid shutdowns etc.
If you can see out the next 5 or so years the outlook actually is very good for UK farmers.
Would not surprise me at all for this Elms farce of a scheme to be shelved at the last minute come 2026/7 and replaced with direct production subs again!
I’ve heard this since the 70’s it’s what old farmers tell young ones , like smokers offering folk faggs , here you smoke this and you will be as weak as me . Here you are keep farming and you will be as worn out as me one day encouraging .Within 5 to 10 years at most it looks very likely there will be food shortages worldwide.

Nothing focuses people’s minds like an empty belly. He was on the news the other week, reporter asked about poorer families struggling with rising electric/fuel/food/heating costs. All he could wobble on about was “the bigger picture, it’s all worth it too hit the 2030 climate targets!” I’d have grabbed him by the collar, shook him and shouted very loudly “poorer families children are going hungry and you’re preaching about “the bigger picture” with a full gut! You ignorant blonde pillock” I’ve always voted blue. Won’t be doing so again while that muppet is in charge!Within 5 to 10 years at most it looks very likely there will be food shortages worldwide.

My thought exactly. The man is an incompetent, lying tosspot.Nothing focuses people’s minds like an empty belly. He has so much prospect for change in politics and he’s actually ended up worse than the the usual political bulls**t… because he doesn’t actually know what too do with himself never mind the countryMy thought exactly. The man is an incompetent, lying tosspot.
That is right he’s had more shite than thatcher thrown at himHe’s hard start , brexit was never going to be easy add covid on top , who else was going to do better ?
Thatcher had the guts to make a decision and stick to it,this lot make a decision and then watch Twitter and FB to see what the public’s reaction is to it,if it’s not favourable they do a u turn . It is government by social media and it is not good. That is right he’s had more shite than thatcher thrown at him
I was shocked that he could hardly be bothered to come out with his usual BS when questioned about the pig situation. The worrying thing to me was when he was pushed for answers on the pig job he said ‘let’s see what happens’
Now that’s no good whatsoever not good enough. He’s supposed to be in charge of the country so should show strength and integrity and at least have a plan. He doesn’t give any confidence
Very very different times to be fair. Not for the better mind in many waysThatcher had the guts to make a decision and stick to it,this lot make a decision and then watch Twitter and FB to see what the public’s reaction is to it,if it’s not favourable they do a u turn . Speaking to a friend of mine last week and he said if fertiliser continues like this he is going to half his cow numbers and do without fert.So if fert gets to £1000 t , how much will that hit production of dairy and arable ? presume rents will fly as everyone will need to cut a bigger acreage just to survive, grain yeild lower so higher feed input cost for beef and lamb
