Given the example of what is happening in the pig world at present, should the UK be looking at introducing quotas and price control from marketing boards for agricultural produce, both home produced and imported, who would be the source for the retail sector to get their supplies through, thereby ensuring that UK ag produce is used before imported and not wasted?

First stop test some of the food that's already imported to see what's really in it

The closest thing we have to a marketing board is a voluntary one called British Wool.
Plenty on here struggling with the idea of supporting that one, so I can’t see compulsory boards being popular.
