How do you know about the 200 electric cars??200 electric cars destined for use by Glasgow council sit unused , and quietly rotting in a lock up car park, yet Wee Nippy has 20 Tesla cars bought to ship the great and the good to and fro from their hotel at Gleneagles . With only 1 available charging point,they are hiring diesel generators from WH Malcolm to provide enough power for the temporary charging units they will need !

Judging by the video they're 20 and 21 plates and stored under cover, so not exactly 'rotting in a carpark'. Always sceptical when reports have words like 'nearly' too - you just know that the actual figure has been exaggerated for effect.
But yes, they would have done fine for much of the delegates.

Council will have budgeted to write them down to zero over five years, then will give them away to a mate who'll flog them all for a tidy profit "but the spreadsheet says they're worth nothing, so £5 each is a good deal" council economic thinking.
