still knackered so decided to have little time r&r after chores

pitched my 'no lambing idea' to admiral whilst checking round ewes.....first up she was agin it but, fair play, later she said i should 'go with with my 'gut' and have the courage of convictions' :) .....also surveyed fence that needs repair on the grazing marsh ....12 acres of wood the other side....i 'file the repair as non urgent' 😗 😁

K was in yard feeding round when we got back .....we got organised to go thru and weigh ram lambs(y).....DOH :banghead::banghead:.....we've about 5 over fat....55-60kg:banghead:......we've been feeding 400g/hd of barley mix + adlib straw which i thought was maint TBH so not worried...plus when i go in there....being the eternal pessimist, my eyes are always drawn to the runts:rolleyes:....not really sure what to do.....to fat for abbattoir.....turn them out somewhere to slim down?.....or take them to mart and accept the 'medicine'?......got some others fit(y).....admiral said 'better that way than not gaining':)

11:30....went home.....shower + nap til 2pm:love:......then trekked off to naam for a 'turkish makeover':)

barber was quiet...he greeted me happily:) ....he remembers me for some reason:scratchhead:😁......anyway his wife is in there today and i getta glass of turkish tea:love:

so i get the haircut....then the 'painfull wax'......wax pot behind tea BTW.....feck it hurt today....barber apologises and blames dodgy wax...it's not his usual.....anyhoo we get talking....being a muslim he said he'd love to buy a sheep from me....kill it himself.....he'd mentioned it previous visits...he reckons big demand amongst muslim community.....i recoiled at idea at first...it'd be ritual kill:(... especially after the 'scandal' of the now defunct (thank goodness) ritual slaughter house at attleborough... is farm slaughter for a 3rd party individual personal use even legal:scratchhead:......but afterwards i was thinking that there'd be less stress perhaps on animal done on farm?.......i suppose you could even insist on using a captive bolt to stun first?....difficult one:scratchhead:......he also talks about his rent and how ,to him, it's the most important thing to pay...he pays £800/month for 2 bed flat:oops:...they'd like to buy and could afford a mortgage but are are unable to save a deposit:(

anyway whilst being 'pampered'?:scratchhead: a chap comes in for a simple haircut....i had the facemask on by now but wasn't dry enough to peal so i suggested he 'do' the other chap....barber is grateful....wife makes me a coffee(y)....then she starts peeling off the mask then there's an alcohol face wash to take off remnant...cologne......once finished i sit down on couch to finish my coffee and partake of some complimentary 'quality street'.......all in all i was rather a long time and when i got back to the car.....PARKING TICKET:mad:....feck it though i wasn't gonna let it spoil my 'afternoon off'

two more stops before home....first was engineers who'd sent me email saying i'd not paid bill:scratchhead:.....but turns out i had(y).......second stop...vets to order toxovax to enact @Boydvalley 's plan:rolleyes:

Better fess up here.
I‘m of very similar vintage to spin and reading the diary, parts of it, is like looking in the mirror.
One of the things we share in common is we make looking after sheep hard work, although mine do stay where their put. Like Spin I can’t bring myself to give them up even though really that’s the best solution.
Option 4 is actually what I’ve decided is the answer, only Spin is ahead of me because the Wilt, Exlana breeding should work well for you. I’ve just taken delivery of an Easydams ram from Robyn Hulme to start my road to easier sheep.
Now I’ve taken the decision to change direction with the flock it feels great, hope it does for you. If it doesn’t sell them.

The thought of Spinny Boi in a Mankini has put me right off my cereal!
I suppose he could get his parts shaved when he does the sheep - assuming the dear lass who does them has a strong stomach!🤣🤣🤣🤣

They'd have to charge more than there usual shearing rate for a contract like that!!!!!!

If they bagged the "fleece" up, I wouldn't want a jumper made from it!!!!!!
