I was chasing some barley seed, rang twice last week, no answers, rang on Monday "Oh I havent heard yet I will speak to him this afternoon". I replied "I think you had better ring now"
Eventually got the reply that it had failed germination test. so when exactly were they going to tell me. T@@sers.

Had our last delivery yesterday. A full 8 weeks late and just in time for the rain. I’m seriously considering getting them to collect it as it’s properly wet now and we may of missed the opportunity to plant it.
Mines being delivered today 😕
Just had very heavy thunderstorm, sort of game stopping amount.

Although I've only just recovered from Covid and there's been a very big flush of blackgrass in the last ten days, so we will see what we can do from here.

It’s really odd hearing all these stories of early orders being placed, as a seed grower seed crops are leaving the farm later and later each year and we are told it is because people are drilling later and not ordering seed until the last minute. This year no seed wheat crops were collected before the last week of September.
At that point 1 variety was all cleared up (apart from 12t.)
2nd variety had notifications that 2 loads had been “released” but no news on actual collecting.
3rd variety not a dicky bird.
3 loads of seed here to be collected.

As said, later and later collections every year 🤷‍♂️

Beans just arrived here, there was a load of skyscraper on the wagon as well. Beans will wait until we've planted the rest of the wheat after maize. Just got to harvest it...

I loaded Gleam WW out to a seed plant this morning so obviously dressers are still busy with cereals.
Got the balance of my wheat seed delivered this week too, just need dry weather.

Beans arrived here this morning. Wheat all planted up by middle of last week so they’ve held us up a little bit. Can’t see them being planted for a day or so now though.
