Its the end of the intensive farm, high stocking rates, your nitrates and carbon footprint will be worth as much as your produce, reduce your stock, reduce your stress, enjoy farming and enjoy the rest of your life, probably as profitable . Watch the children grow up too
Aye dead on, only problem with farmin is every1 wants every1 else to cut back and then they will increase and reap the rewards. Imho conacre is a nonstarter round here with the prices, if i had to rent ground id happily cut back or quit if its that biga part of ur farm as surely there cant be any profit in it and havin to lick folks arses just to keep in way them to get the ground rented would go against my grain

Rented ground is a necessity here, my dad mustn't have worked hard enough.

Almost all of the rented ground we take we were approached about taking it didn’t have to go looking mostly on 5 year terms so just treat it like your own and they seem happy enough with the job we’re doing

Most of the ground round here that is rented has been rented by the same people for years seems to be the common trend anyway so I can't see much of it changing hands. But who knows money talks

Or are they just following the Dale Farm scheme that started in January and runs to Dec 23. It's not nearly enough...2 years from now it's 29p no good today definitely no good 2 years from now, if it wasn't so serious it would be a joke... more like an insult
Would be good to see the pathetic fixed price scheme be a disaster though. Just a pity it'll come out of the non fixed price anyway which begs the question what's the point? Heads we win, tails you lose.
