Yes his wife is the agent for Islay and Jura. They farm on Islay. I think they moved there from down south a good number of years ago. He is very articulate.Read it on another thread. Was so impressed that I did a bit of internet stalking. Interesting to find that the authors wife has a role in the Scottish NFU.

You’re right, it was in the Scottish Farmer, October 25th. Needs to be more mainstream media really.Where was that letter published? Often those type of letters are in a farming magazine preaching to the converted.
