I’m not bothered really, made enough of them anyway. Happy that next man is making a nice bit as well. 👍

Same, it was just in jest. Like you I made enough on my lambs - plus the drought I had no choice but to shift them

But the way trade is going they do now look cheap (but who knew it'd take off like it has!)

I dropped into Welshpool to pick my cheque up this afternoon. They told me the lambs averaged 264p/kg.

Is it wrong to be glad I didn’t take any this week, even on a tenner jump on last week?

I certainly felt happier filling the hopper this afternoon anyway. Just starting to eat properly now.👍
Hopper? Your lamb's not finish on forage?😉

Everything has until now, but when the forage runs out, or needs to be prioritised for tupping ewes, then happy to feed rather than give weight away. ;)

As posted elsewhere, we only came out of a drought as the temperature dropped. Winter is starting early here, with long keep hoggs on turnips already.:(

All in jest Neil! We have been lucky here in North Devon with a near perfect summer and autumn. Even heavy rain last week has done us sheep boys a favour in driving the cattle indoors and freeing up some sheep keep! I will post a picture of my own lamb's on roots.

Think I will drop 100 into melton tomorrow as buying cattle Wednesday and don’t want to hold them for another week.
