Loader for Ford 7840

Hi all,

Im after a loader for my Ford 7840 and nothing second hand seems to fit a 6 cylinder machine or sells too fast for me to make my mind up. Couple of new options, border plant can supply me a Metal Te loader for around £5k + VAT but never heard of this make?

Other option is I go full in with a quickie type loader but they are £11k .

any suggestions?

There’s a tidy trima loader for a 7810 on Facebook marketplace for £2k wouldn’t take much to make it fit

Can’t keep more than one tractor and I need the 7840 for the hedge cutter.
7810 is the same engine I think so should be fine? I shall find it!

6.6 litre 6 cylinder so should be the same length?

Do you have gas bottles and a decent welder?

No joke. Get some 15mm plate for down the sides of the tractor, a mag drill and you’re away.

To be fair i thought that to but when you get used to it its the only job. If you can get one that isnt massively big you wont even bother taking it off. Bidspotter auctions handy to keep an eye on

Did I not see Bob Coar advertising a loader for a 6cylinder 40 series recently?

I thought the same as @bobk but it was either put a loader on or sell her as couldn't really justify keeping it otherwise. I've a Trima on my 78 and it's a grand job, wouldn't be without it now. 77 be a bit more maneuverable but 99% of the time it's grand.
Loader only ever off for a week or two at silage time now, and even then it's a miss.
