Just been offered a Trimma 540 from Gribben tractors £2900 plus VAT for a 7840, or a new Intertech IT 1600 for £6000 with new brackets etc.
The latter comes with soft ride etc.

thoughts?

Yeah a polish company I think, imported from a chap in Ireland, Karl Campbell. £6000 is a cheaper loader but comes with soft ride, self levelling and euro headstock apparently.

So I settled for the Q540 from Gribben, great bunch. can anyone tell me what type of headstock is on it? I think euro but a friend said there are different types of euro?

are they compatible with euro 8 brackets?

Nope I don’t have any kit at the mo so I’m buying in fresh, the guys at Gribben said it should be euro 8 so il buy in euro 8 kit.

I assume that’s the most common now I hear?

Most modern tractor loaders are generally on either euro 8 or Mx these days but you do find some loaders on the combi headstock so you can pick up euro 8, quicke no3 and Trima sms all with the same headstock.
Might be worth casting a tape measure over your headstock just incase it has got an odd ball or older one fitted
