So you really believe the whole world is part of some giant conspiracy, governments & countries panicking because this new variant might overcome vaccines is simply so that they can enable companies to sell a few more vaccines, death numbers & cases already rising in Europe is again all part of that conspiracy.
You don't think that maybe it could possibly be a little bit more serious than you might believe!

You need to wake up and smell the coffee.
Some people/ company's are making millions out of this Covid farce.
Its not that serious at all, deaths from Covid have only made up a very small % of daily deaths from day one.
If it was not for the media etc no one would know there is a pandemic at all as case numbers/ deaths for Covid are so low!

There is about 12000 strains of covid, sooner or later we are just going to have to get on and live with it.
There are times when you wonder why you are farming but at times like this I'm really thankful when I'm feeding my lovely limos on my own in peace & quiet, thankful that I'm not one of those poor buggers crammed in on underground trains rushing to work not knowing who the hell it is you are standing next to.
Yep even with dozy Defra in the background farming definitely has a lot of advantages, even when it's raining!

Variant b1.1.529 was reported on wef website on july 12th as a variant of concern for high transmission. Guess it must be a slow burner!

I actually agree with you. No point letting fear ruin the rest of your life, even if you are a cancer sufferer, like several of my friends. It is important to live on while we can, and make the best of it. And this is actually what 'getting on and living with it' looks like at this moment in time.
In some parts of life you can and will choose your mitigations, if any, and in other parts you won't choose, because the public health authority has advised that you unreasonably increase the risk to friends like the cancer survivors.
For example, my church denomination, on consultation with the PHA, voluntarily reinstated mask wearing in services last night. No one gains financially from that in any way. No healthy person is likely to be delighted about that change, but my cancer friends likely will. And that's what living with this looks like for the time being. Along with other well known mitigations, it's hoped that it increases the safety of sharing in the experience for my cancer friends, and is relatively little sacrifice for the strong/foolhardy.
