Not a great photo but this red one arrived under cover of darkness today…
20mm boards with 16mm pipe connected to wet heating system, best with tiles as it transmits the heat better. Only added 30mm to existing floor height. That’s interesting, what are you using as the screed / adhesive? That woukd of been ideal here to oreserve ceiling heights in old oart of house but we had to screed with 75mm. What type of load bearing will that be?
Looks like I've upset @Robert K - did you hope I was having the blue one delivered...?!
Wrong shade of red in my opinion
Did you build the chassis yourself?View attachment 1001306
Bale trailer painted in primer after quite some sanding, made the front rack too of course i wanted it to be extendable to make it more difficult but turned out good. The outer sides are out of 60x100x5mm tube with holes on the inside, which im not sure about in hindsight, for ratchet straps every 30 cm or so. Got all the lights and wires in today, so fitting brackets etc this weekend and final paint next week. Opted for woodboards as floor as i might store hay on it sometimes which will need te 'breathe' in my experience. Hopefully done in 2 weeks as i got some silage bales to cart.
Also peep the 3050 in the background which is patiently awaiting its turn in the workshop.
I did not, my father bought the trailer from a company local that makes pvc pipes, they made the trailer in the 90s? themselves hence the long drawbar. It is really well built with heavy H beams 120x120x10mm. But as long as i remember, im 22, it has served as an scrap steel storage place, it was quite rotten and tires were done, i wanted it gone or refurbished as i want a good trailer and prices of them have gone quite high.Did you build the chassis yourself?
No idea why but I have a soft spot for those trailers, really would love one just to move straw, even though they are totally unpractical for our narrow back roads and reversing for touristsI did not, my father bought the trailer from a company local that makes pvc pipes, they made the trailer in the 90s? themselves hence the long drawbar. Here in all its glory, was stood like this for atleast 10 years
Im geussing you mean the articulated part? You see loads of them around here, especially for arable farmers in cabbage type crops. I also think they are popular here is because pickuphitches are not around here so unhooking a trailer in the field and loading it is only easily doable with this style of trailer. They do drive really nice and backing up is sort of easier as you are able to get them to more difficult spots. No idea why but I have a soft spot for those trailers, really would love one just to move straw, even though they are totally unpractical for our narrow back roads and reversing for tourists
Yes the articulated part,my reversing is bad enough with a fixed draw barIm geussing you mean the articulated part? Smart job!! Funnily enough I started browsing Loadalls the other day after seeing the pic of yours on the low loader with the seed and admiring it.
Did I make a comment a while back?
Where’s the topsoil heading? Or is it just moving out the way so you can make an even bigger, smarter yard?
Nice shoes on that trailer , walk on water with them !View attachment 1001306

What model is the Massey at the front ?As part of our local towns Xmas tree light switch on, a few local farmers put down tractors with Xmas tree lights on. Was a big hit with the public. Couldn't believe the amount of people that came to see them.
