or hasnt told them !! totally agree here mind
If they wont listen calling them on Social Media is the last resort but sometimes you have no choice
i cant believe if you rang up the customer service dept of which iam sure there is one they dont want to help in some ways
out of warranty your on your own mind ive often heard of that.
In todays world if you have problem with some thing, it is a very poor manufacturer that is not wanting to come out & talk to an end user about the machine & a problem it has, one of the biggest problems are the bean counters that think it is only one sale we can do with out, but then things get out of hand & it gets all over the internet & one lost sale is now 10 lost sales , most manufacturers now have some one on social media to try & stop bad press before it gets out of hand but if these manufacturers would talk to there end users in the first place, it would save a lot of people a lot of stress, any company is only as good as the people that work there

Surely you can ask your dealer for a meeting with the mf area manager. He or she will be at the dealer from time to time so you could ask to meet when they are in the area. We had serious problems with a claas back in the day and it was sorted with a chat in the yard with the claas area man and the sales man.
Claas are in a different league to MF when it comes to sorting out problems

Thats how it should be & job sorted.
If any of these big players think its beyond them to interact with the end use ie the customer its a bad job mind.

It's not machinery but I ordered 10 dinning chairs recently. They arrived and duly started to assemble them 1st one no problem ,next 2 troublesome bolts not lining up easily. Decided to ring the supplier They said email pictures. 30 minutes later get a call fault in manufacturing process meant holes incorrectly drilled we will send a man put to re drill and assemble them .in the mean time had built 4 more so said I will persevere. Rang when completed and offered £50 compensation for my trouble

On one occasion the dealer was chasing us for money for a repair.

Spoke to manufacturer at highland show and he was aware of problem and they had paid it some time ago.

Ive never had or been aware of anything like that mind, altho one dealers workshop man didnt like the fact id gone to makers & told them i wasnt happy how long it was taking
to sort an issue out. sorry but 18month it took was unexceptable & it was the makers fault not the dealers that i was having a go at.

Yep, there’s the odd dodgy dealer and quite a few dodgy farmers as well. I’ve said it before many times but the Pareto Principle applies where 20% of any population causes 80% of issues and in my estimation 10% are dodgy and 1 in 10 of those, around 1% are born evil. And I do mean evil. I suspect that the 10% being dodgy applies equally to manufacturer’s staff, manufacturers themselves, dealers and their staff and farmers likewise. It’s a ‘people thing’. The human condition where 9 out of 10 people are great, but….

Believe me, there are all sorts on here. We’ve had trailer thieves, scammers, the mentally ill, the violent and even very dodgy finance companies on here and those are just the ones I know about or can deduce.
With over 45,000 members and probably as many again of regular readers, you just can’t expect everyone to be perfect. I think there was a time where they even had one or two somewhat dodgy staff members that had to be terminated?
At least you know where you stand with cows, most of the time.

Not strictly relevant to this thread but a couple of years ago I was half interested in a new Kubota ( a new model) but didn`t want to get "hassle" from local dealer unless I was certain it was for me. Phoned Kubota UK to politely ask if they had any local sales support guys for a bit of advice/help (thinking local man might not know much about a brand new model if he hadn`t sold one*), anyway to cut a long story short the female on the phone at Kubota UK was pretty rude and unhelpful - suffice to say there won`t be one of their machines coming here in a hurry....
Customers can be such a nuisance... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: and:mad:!

* we`ve all been down the route of salesmen that "don`t really know" when you ask them about a product they`re supposed to be selling...

If I recall correctly, various hydraulics would work on their own at any moment. Loader dropping down on the road, plough just lifting up or dropping at any time. Certainly something like that.

He told me about it at the time, very dangerous and although they had a few goes at it they didn’t get it right then more or less just said “we’ve done all we can, you’re stuck with it now”
I know someone who has had 2 MF (7718’s) I think both randomly dropping the rear linkage, it lives on the plough and a few times it’s hit the deck fast!
