Now there is no support payments of any kind in England for keeping sheep or goats and the government has no policy for being in anyway self-sufficient, why do they need to know?

I guess they just wish to watch our demise.

Ours came last Tuesday. Just filled it out. I’d give them an email
Having tried to do it via their website this morning, only to be told the service was unavailable, I have emailed as you suggested, pointing out that completion is SMR 8 . This was acknowledged automatically and informing me that a reply will take 15 working days! I have just tried the website again and now it is is back on.

You have until the end of the month to complete anyway I think.

They need too know so that when they inspect you, if the numbers on farm don’t tally with numbers on your inventory then you get told off…

Iv got 15 different Tcph numbers… and the form I got sent was purely for 1 of my TCph’s not my main holding number ? Anyone know if I just send them numbers for that holding or send them numbers for all my holdings?

You like to make life complicated!!
Why so many TCPH? Much easier surely to do TLA's, then you just complete one return for the whole lot.

How many have not received the email?
I spoke to 3 farmers in the market today and only one had received an email, he has two business's and didn't get one for the other company.
My son completed it on line by going to the website, however when he went to send it, he got the error message that the holding number wasn't recognised!!
He contacted them and they admitted to having problems and now are sending out paper forms, but you have until mid January to complete them now.

However I contacted the NFU about the issue and Defra told them that it is now working and everyone should have had the email!!

Below is the reply from Defra. We have not received any reminders either!!

"Harriet had flagged this to us yesterday, see my response attached. I have checked with our surveys team and they confirmed there are no current issues, but the system may have been slow this morning due to reminders being sent out.

If users are not able to move from screen to screen it may be down to an error with the data entered and they should contact the surveys helpline for assistance. The contact details are 03000 600 140 or [email protected].

I hope this helps and do let me know if a new issue appears that we should be aware of.

Kind regards,

Mark

Got an email version but I`m only happy doing a paper one. Phoned to ask for one and the answerphone message asked for my details and said it would take FIVE days for them to reply to my voice mail message...... anyway I phoned again later in the day but didn`t leave a message - a few minutes later a lady phoned back having spotted a "missed call" and she said they`d send a paper one out on the 21st ! (this was last Friday!!) Don`t panic Mr Mannering! :ROFLMAO:
