Laid Concrete Cost

Could someone please advise on a budget figure for concreting a farm yard. Assume a price per 6 cube load with mesh on a prepared base.
Many thanks

The price of a cube per msq prepared and laid is never that far out you will know whether the base is going to need extra work or not.
But at the moment concrete is a bit ££ as everyone jumps on the shortage bandwagon.

One of the major readymix firms in Newcastle usually use over 20 artic loads of cement a week. This week they are limited to 6 loads.
There is an another source of cement but would add £20 / cube,so they are trying to avoid using that

Currently laying a new yard but its 200mm thick, concrete laying, mesh, dpm, float finish £47/sq m plus stone underneath, so with less depth of concrete probably about £40/sq m.
Steel mesh has almost doubled in price so that needs allowing for too.

Shows how things have changed.....I had a couple of hundred cube put down back in June 2016 for £18.50 a metre all in, 6" depth, mesh and powerfloat finish.

I'm pleased not to have had a project on last year or this year as things have turned out.

Does that include the cost of the concrete?

Yes, grading sub-base to level, dpm, set mesh on supports, shuttering, laying and floated finish £49.50/sq m.
However this was on a quote now some months old and I assume that the price of concrete has risen since then, I know the price of reinforcing mesh has gone up a lot.

Just been quoted £10 per m2 to prep base, form up and lay with brush finish. I supply all materials. Does this sound about right?

Hello all, can anyone update these costs please, ideally for the whole job inc shuttering, mesh ? Someone has proposed me £100/sqm (for 340sqm) !
How many cube of concrete would that be?

We've just put some C35 down last month for £100 a cube, and then to lay was more or less the same again, so paid £200 a cube all in so to speak. No mesh, on a yard but included levelling with hardcore and shuttering etc to 150mm deep.

sounds about right , 1 cube of concrete laid at 150mmwill cover roughly 6m2 so 200 a cube works out around £33 per m2
