i love reading that sort of thing ,particularly this time of year , that would pretty much what my Great Grandfather and grandfather would've been doing at the time.
Interesting to note how not much is very different today, the fundamental's are the same.

First sentence, you gotta love it- get on and get stuff ploughed as far as possible. Knowing the frosts would do the work of later cultivations. They weren't daft those fellows.
