ATV Security

I'm currently looking at introducing a device to the market to secure Farm Quads/ATV's and make it much harder for thieves to steal them. It's a simple device which you drive the quad bike into, and only takes seconds to lock up (4/5 Seconds) and about the same to unlock without the need for any faffing about with chains, bars, frames or other awkward methods. It's a one size fits all system so once purchased, will fit any 'Standard' quad bike so it will be a one off investment that will have a long life, It will be half the price of other systems on the market but equally effective with no maintenance required.
The lock will need a concrete floor to secure to as standard, or there is an option to buy a seperate metal base if needed.
Sorry can't post photos at present as it's subject to a couple of patents pending.

I'm keen to hear peoples thoughts on this. Is this something you would consider buying/using?

Any cheaper than a Quadvice?

I considered one of these a few years ago, but needs to be bolted down somewhere, so needs a permanent parking place really (& might not cope with a permanently muddy bike all winter).

Yes quite a bit cheaper. Mine needs a permanent home but won’t be affected by muddy wheels.

Is this just another device that can be beaten with an 18v grinder and a couple of batteries, or an oxy-acetylene portapak?

It’s easier and cheaper just have a quad bike that no f**ker would thank you for… they’d fetch mine back before they got the end of the road with it… and that’s if they got it started too make it that far
B4stards will pinch anything. A while ago they pinched a mates old Honda which is pretty shagged out..... came across our farm bike the same night so chucked his out on the road and took ours instead!

Will it secure UTVs as well?
Getting insurance backing via discounts will help sell it.
I am interested in buying something for a JD Gator

I wouldn’t get too excited about insurance discounts paying for it. I had a tracker put on mine when I bought it and the discount on my insurance came to about £15/yr iirc. It doesn’t pay much of the annual subscription, let alone buying it 8n the first place!

If I take it for a service in the trailer, I can get about a mile before I get a text and a phone call from them, so it does work well.😂

How does a 2wd or permanent 4wd cope on one of these?
