My baling contractor is not in my good books this year. Getting lots of bales with net not only outside the bale but right into the bale.
😩😩

Latest bale had 3 wraps outside and a further 16 into the bale. Trying to pull that lot out was not fun, especially with a hungry bull fighting to get to feeder.

Im having a few too, mostly i think the pickup has drawn crop in while the net was going on but also the contractors have baled up broken bales without pulling the net out of the tump of loose. Both problems caused by the baler man rushing imo. I try to sort the nets out it if i can see they have had a loose bale. Bloody annoying

Whoop whoop Friday again and even though the week has been dry the ground is still a little moist.

After a lot of discussions we were asked to go back to the golf club to carry on with the drainage. We have moved onto the driving range. Ground conditions are not exactly favourable and once we get through the ground frost that we have been experiencing this week, turn very wet indeed. Unfortunately the ground seems to remain wet even during the drier months so this is one of those jobs that need to be done regardless in order to get the area to dry out.

With the help of the club who are shutting the sections off where we are draining it still makes for an interesting area to be in. The odd wayward shot is keeping the lads on their toes still and they have found a multitude of “lost” golf balls that the club is grateful to have back!

Bit of a shock to the system this morning, -6 according to my car!! Got to the office and was Billy no mates, I didn’t get an invite to the partyL. Phoned Boss Man Chris to see where everyone was and why I was not invited. Simple answer; make an early start to take advantage of this morning’s frost and something about me smelling! All going well even if the conditions are not ideal but made for some lovely photos.

Dilly Bob has been quiet on the biccy front this week. I say quiet; I have not been here much when he leaves for site or when he gets back. Has been chatter about King Kev and Cool Hand Luke truffle hunting but I don’t believe 2 blokes could eat that many!!

Been a great week gents, thanks for cracking on and putting in a good shift. Have a fun filled weekend and we will see you all Monday with extra socks and a thermal vest! Stay safe and stay smiley.
