I think it depends how local your dealer is and if they are any good no matter what make .I think quite a few JD customers now gone to Kramer now connected .

What gearbox issues?
The contractor I know ran a scorpion on the road a lot
and he had a major gearbox issue where his Claas dealer
had to help him out on the bill ,It had done about 3k hrs at the time .
He ran it to 5k hrs and bailed out for a jcb which he finds much better
travelling between jobs.I don't know what caused the problem but he
wasn't very happy at the time.
There is someone on the machinery section of TFF with a Scorpion 6030 that
sounds like he might have similar issues .
This was the old Claas model before Liebherr .

Now ask the JCB owners who has managed to hot their tranny up.
Not cooked one yet and that’s towing bale trailers as well. - The reason we didn’t buy a Kramer. Nice machine but barely likes moving its own weight up hills let alone dragging 10t+ behind.

For all the negative comments re Merlo and we run 3 machines some comments are deserving but until the other manufacturers come up with a system of cab suspension like the Merlo I won’t even price them.
For sustained field work the comfort is worth so much in driver operations.
