Few from last Friday
Need to find an action cam with a good zoom option
1st pic is Hurworth Burn Reservoir, our farm is just the other side of it, you can see the white splodge of caravans in storage
2nd and 4th pic is Raby Castle
3rd pic is Cockfield fell, think its old mine workings
5th is Thrislington quarry , one of many around our area

Edit
Just reread you question, That would be the top soil from the opencast on the Blagdon estate that has just been restored

This is 1/2 mile further east

This what you saw ?

Big art work made on an opencast coal site

Not sure
Need a NPPL M
Minimum 25hrs flight training
5 ground exams ( 6 if you include radio licence )
Older you are longer it takes, I was told it roughly works out 1 hour for every year which was about right
What's the rough cost to do that out of interest?

Great to see you making use of it. Roll on fully electric fixed wing. (y)

How confident do you feel in the air now?
Confidence is certainly building.
Still have that worry of what the conditions will be like at home airfield when I return
Approach is over trees at both ends, and can be tricky if winds pickup.
Out of everyone I have taken up so far, only myself has been bothered about getting thrown about on approach.
Have landed at 5 other airfields up to now, all a piece of pi** compared to home field

Doing RT course at moment, exam next Thursday
So will be able transit zones soon ( legally anyway)
We are fortunate to have Teesside airport on our doorstep, usually quiet, and the controllers enjoy having someone to talk to.

Probably a case of if you need to ask you can`t afford it :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

No not that bad really.
Either £150 an hour using school plane, or £30 an hour using our own.
Obviously there are costs involved in owning a plane.
Ours is shared between 4 so makes it a lot cheaper

Although currently looking for my own. Sharing can cause issues.
Especially when I am the only mechanically minded one in the group
