You’ve got to love the FW for nearly always getting the facts slightly wrong. Close coupled means less than 840mm centre to centre axles and I’ve got 3 tractors of around the 150 HP and up on 650 tyres and fixed rims that are all ( just ) under 2.45m.
Basically the rules for 16 year olds towing trailers were designed so that they could use the road with small trailers so that they could gain useful experience. I haven’t seen the video but it sounds from posts on here that the offender was very much taking the p and shame on his Dad for either letting or encouraging him to do so. If he’d have wiped some young Mum out with a car full off kids I’d dread to think of the consequences in that situation.
