Buyer wants enough to fill an artic so I’m toldThey're going to be buried in 50kg + hoggs tomorrow. Kiss of death
Can someone reply to this please ?? I want to know too !What would 10-11 month Luing steers be making per kg? Not been weighed lately but I'm guessing 300kg ish. First time selling any.
£2.30-£2.40 if they are decent types. Can someone reply to this please ?? I want to know too !
I cant understand the cull ewe buyers giving record prices for ewes around the country and ignoring the 60+kg hoggs which are far cheaper. I know what i would rather eat and would there be that much difference in taste/texture once its curried up?They're going to be buried in 50kg + hoggs tomorrow. Kiss of death
From AHDB Individual Markets (nice to know where some of your levy goes!) website SQQ 261p overall 234p.Any Hogg prices from Sedgemoor today?

Huge difference between lamb and old ewe in a curry ,the meat is marinated and the lamb just dissolves whereas it just tenderises the ewe meat.I cant understand the cull ewe buyers giving record prices for ewes around the country and ignoring the 60+kg hoggs which are far cheaper.
