I cant understand the cull ewe buyers giving record prices for ewes around the country and ignoring the 60+kg hoggs which are far cheaper. Perhaps being full of mastitis and its overload of antibiotics thru its life ads to the flavour
Huge difference between lamb and old ewe in a curry ,the meat is marinated and the lamb just dissolves whereas it just tenderises the ewe meat.
