I have only 4 easycares left to lamb and apart from the last few they have lambed very well on their own etc. Now at the end of lambing, the lambs are starting to get quite big and some have needed a pull. I started lambing on the 1st of April. I take it the bigger lambs are due to more grass being available now? So for next year should I start lambing earlier to make the singles easier to manage?

Reduce your lambing period. Tup for 17 days, then change raddle.

Everything marked second cycle manage accordingly. So don't set stock on grass till a day before it's due to start.

Or sell all 2nd cycle marked ewes and enjoy a real short lambing.

I have them at 10 per acre on a bare field. How many singles per acre should I have?
Mine are 10-12 per acre. Some go tighter still.
Was it properly bare when they went in there?
Have you had exceptional growing conditions lately?

Trouble with lambing earlier, is will you have the grass for your multiple bearing ewes?

Think I could manage a bit earlier as I don't have many outdoor lambing ewes yet so plenty of ground to run them on at that time of year when cattle aren't out yet, weather could be the issue rather than grass. Wasn't much grass on field when they went in a week before lambing, maybe should have been more bare.

The tighter the better ime. Mine (single ewes and all hoggs) are close to double that at the beginning, then I draft off to better grass covers as they lamb (usually after a few days, if they’re near the gate). As there was still a bit of grass there when they went in, we still had a few big lambs. Now, you can see the sheep muck on the ground.
Drafting bigger numbers off now, as they’ve got it down, running another 40 out yesterday.
