My contract is up for renewal end of June
My prices now are daily charge 25p day/ day rate 17.45p /night rate 12.81p
3 choices with supplier / our out of contract 35p day charge 47.08 day rate / night rate 38.64 or 1 year contract fixed at 25p day charge 37.4p day rate/ night rate 33.8p
or 3 year contract fixed at daily charge 25p /day rate 35.1p/ night rate 31.3p
House on business contract supplying small livestock farm with power for lights/ small power tools/ milk heater.
Is fixing for 3 year s sensible?
Is it better to try to swap to a domestic contract as government might help joe public more with energy pricing?
Is this a good price in present conditions?
If we put solar on the roof , if fixed would we /or not be able to sell to another company if buy back price was better.
Any thoughts?

SSE just sent me a new price, 54.98 p/kwh day, £1 /day standing charge?
Where is best to move to as I am out of contract!

For cheapest electricity...

Though moving to any of those countries does seem a bit drastic....

I’m been pressured by our broker to sign up to a deal on offer at the moment but for it to start in October when it’s due for renewal.. he reckons it’s easy and common place to cancel the one he wants me to sign up to now if a better deal becomes available nearer time. Is what he’s telling me correct??

between now and October we intend to install a solar system so our daily usage will be different to what it is now,

Looking at that list I must say I'm struggling to see any downsides there. These same 4 countries are coincidentally the lowest 4 on the list of countries in terms of illegal hare coursing, trespassing dog walkers and also very very low in terms of rewilding nutjobs.

Is there anything to stop a farm with fairly low usage going on a domestic tariff? Seems like the prices are lower than business tariffs.

well contacted or tried other energy providers nobody will give new contracts, so it seems not a lot of choice, but accept 1 or 3 years contract and very high price, crystal ball time, i expect 3 year contract will be better , nothing seems to ever come down.

I would be surprised if you can cancel unless it would be to the tariff provides benefit
